Product Description

Udderly Smooth Udder Cream was originally designed for soothing milking cows' udders, soothing sunburn and to prevent peeling and cracking of the skin but has since been developed using the input and testing of elite cyclists to become a highly regarded product for reducing uncomfortable chaffing and pain encountered by hours in the saddle. Udderly Smooth Chamois Cream with shea butter is designed to be greaseless and stainless and while in addition to its good performance as a barrier cream allowing greater comfort on longer rides, it will also leave your hands smelling fresh and soft. On coloured lycra the cream is also stainless washing out easily. The large 227gm tub prevents you having to keep running out to buy more.
UK Cycle Weekly rates the product an exellent choice 9/10 rating.

Chamois cream is seen by many bikers as un-necessary or even a little strange. Although both of
these viewpoints may well be true, a quality chamois cream will allow you to ride for longer periods
and in more comfort. Personally I tend to use the brilliant Assos Cream (or ‘minty arse lard’ as it is
affectionately know) on any ride over a couple of hours and swear by it. Indeed the Assos cream
seems to be the default choice for most of the endurance biased riders I know. ConsequentlyI was
interesting to try out a new contender to the, err, throne. Udderly SMOOth previously developed
creams to protect cows udders during milking, but they now have a range of creams for humans,
including hand creams, used by round the world yachtsmen, and this antichafing Chamois Cream.
It is fresh smelling and non-greasy and didn’t stain my shorts (or skin!). It works well for a long time
without re-application and certainly increased mycomfort on long rides. All very good. On the whole
the Udderly cream seems to work just as well as the Assos. While it doesn’t have the minty tingle that
some people like, it does come in a much bigger pot for less money. Great product, great price.
two thumbs up! Jon ‘Shaggy’ Ross

Titled: TRIPLE WHAMMY: CHAMOIS CREAM

IF you've ridden for longer than a couple of hours, there's a good chance that you've experienced
some chafing 'downstairs'. Reducing friction between skin and chamois is the way around the problem.
Here we look at three options. Assos's Crème has been around for years. The menthol can feel odd at
first, leaving the skin feeling cold, but the gloopy consistency ensures it stays in place. Ozone's cream
is not as thick, and has no minty cooling effect, but you do slide around in your chamois at first, which
shows the reduced friction. Sadly, the effect is not as long lasting as Assos's, or that from new guys,
Udderly Smooth. From the name you may guess this is not a specific product, but endurance cyclists
have sworn by the udder cream for years, and now it's being directly marketed. Thinner than either
(with a consistency like Nivea), it's incredibly effective, and surprisingly long lasting. Ozone's protection
cream is fine for shorter events, but the Assos easily outperforms it, reducing friction for hours longer.
It's worth noting, though, that the menthol can irritate any reddened skin. Udderly Smooth is great
value, very effective, but it can be more difficult to get hold of. That said, it's worth the hunting.
